Description
This vintage Peters porcelain sign looks like the end of a box of shells, with a mallard drake flying low over the marsh and a brass and red High Velocity shotgun shell above it, on a bright yellow field. “25 Peters 12 Ga.” runs across the top, “Rustless” sits in red script, and “Long Range, Hard Hitting, Smokeless Shotgun Shells” and “New Peters Crimp” fill the bottom on a navy band.
Peters High Velocity shells were a favorite of duck hunters, and box art like this lined sporting goods store shelves. It is real porcelain, made with glass enamel fired onto heavy gauge steel, porcelain on front and back, so the finish is hard, glossy and built to last. The yellow, navy and red colors look great in a duck camp, a gun room, a hunting cabin or a man cave, and it makes a great gift for a waterfowl hunter, a trap shooter or anyone who loves the marsh at sunrise.
