Description
“Fuel Your Boat Here” is just what a boater wants to see when pulling up to the dock. This vintage Mobil Marine Gasoline porcelain sign features the red Pegasus in the center, with Mobil across the top, “Fuel Your Boat Here” around the horse and Marine Gasoline along the bottom, in red and blue on an 11 3/4″ round face with excellent porcelain.
Mobil’s flying red horse is one of the best-known symbols in the oil business, seen at service stations across the country. On the water, the same horse marked the docks where boats could fill up before heading out. This sign is real porcelain, made with glass enamel fired onto metal for a glossy, durable finish made to last. It’s a natural fit for a lake house, a boathouse, a marina office or a collection of gas and marine signs.
