Description
“I’d walk a mile” is one of the best-known slogans in tobacco advertising. This vintage Camel porcelain sign features a single-hump camel standing in the desert sand, with I’d Walk a Mile across the top and For a CML along the bottom in bold brown lettering, on a cream 12″ round face with vibrant colors.
R.J. Reynolds introduced Camel cigarettes in 1913 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and the camel on the pack, said to be based on a circus camel named Old Joe, became an icon. The “I’d walk a mile for a Camel” line ran for decades and is still remembered today. This sign is real porcelain, made with glass enamel fired onto heavy gauge steel in a classic old design, for a hard, glossy finish built to last. It’s a great piece for a game room, a home bar, a den or a collection of tobacco signs.
