Description
This vintage Mountain Dew porcelain sign shows the bearded hillbilly in a green hat and checkered shirt riding a giant green Mountain Dew bottle, with a little hillbilly in green leaping off the neck of the bottle. “Mountain Dew” is lettered in red script at the top, and “A Product of Pepsi Co.” and “Made in U.S.A. 61” run along the bottom of the bright yellow field.
Mountain Dew’s hillbilly mascot and his “Ya-Hooo!” were a big part of the soda’s early ads. It is real porcelain, made with glass enamel fired onto heavy gauge steel, porcelain on front and back, so the finish is hard, glossy and built to last. The yellow, green and red colors look fun in a kitchen, a bar, a game room or a man cave, and it makes a great gift for a Dew drinker, a country boy or anyone who loves classic soda signs.
