Vintage Black Raven Porcelain Sign – Kelly Axe Mfg Co., 12 x 12 in

In a hardware store full of hickory handles and sharp steel, the Black Raven name stood for a good axe. This vintage porcelain sign features the iconic Black Raven brand of the Kelly Axe Mfg Co. of Charleston, in excellent porcelain with a bold black color.

Kelly Axe was one of the biggest axe makers in the country, and Black Raven was among its well-known lines, sold to loggers, farmers and homeowners through hardware and general stores. The striking black design gives this square sign a clean, graphic look. It’s real porcelain, made with glass enamel fired onto steel for a glossy, durable surface made to last. It fits right in at a cabin, workshop or tool collection.
