This is a vintage Smokey Bear prevent wildfires porcelain sign (also known as a Smokey Bear gas station pump plate), measuring 12 inches by 8 1/2 inches. It features the iconic Smokey Bear mascot: Smokey in his classic ranger hat labeled “SMOKEY“, holding a Forest Service sign.
Made of porcelain enamel on steel with patina and wear: rust spotting around the mounting holes, minor edge chips, light surface scratches, and minimal discoloration. This is a porcelain enamel advertising sign in excellent condition, exactly as shown in the photos.
This vintage Smokey Bear sign makes a great addition to a garage, shop display, man cave, cabin, or any Smokey Bear memorabilia collection, vintage public service advertising collection, forestry/outdoor safety sign collection, or Americana sign collection.
