Colt Firearms Porcelain Sign – Hartford, Conn. Est. 1836, 11 3/4″

This Colt Firearms porcelain sign has the big Colt oval logo in chocolate brown on a white field, with the rampant colt emblem below it. “Revolvers, Automatic Pistols, Machine Guns” runs around the top edge, “Hartford, Conn. Est. 1836” sits in the middle, and “Colt’s Patent Fire Arms M’f’g Co.” curves along the bottom.

Samuel Colt patented his revolver in 1836, and his Hartford, Connecticut company went on to make some of the best known guns in American history. It is real porcelain, made with glass enamel fired onto steel, so the finish is hard, glossy and built to last. The brown and white look fits a gun room, a hunting cabin, a den or a man cave, and it makes a great gift for a shooter, a Colt owner or a fan of the Wild West.
