Batman Toys Are Here! Porcelain Sign – Ideal 1966, Bat Shape

This Batman Toys porcelain sign is cut in the shape of a bat with spread wings, in black with a tan border. “Zap!” and “Pow!” pop out on the wings, the Ideal logo sits in a tan oval in the middle with “19” and “66” on each side, and “Batman Toys Are Here!” curves along the bottom in tan letters.

Batman hit TV screens in 1966, and Ideal Toy Company quickly filled store shelves with Batman and Robin toys. It is real porcelain, made with glass enamel fired onto heavy gauge steel, so the finish is hard, glossy and built to last. The black and tan bat shape stands out in a game room, a kid’s room, a comic shop or a man cave, and it makes a fun gift for a Batman fan, a toy collector or anyone who grew up yelling “Pow!”
