Description
This vintage STP porcelain sign shows a smiling blonde pin-up girl in a red tied shirt and blue shorts, holding up a can of STP. The red STP oval sits at the top, “The Racer’s Edge” is lettered in big blue italics, and “Oil Treatment” and “Scientifically Treated Petroleum” run across the bottom in black on a white field.
“The Racer’s Edge” was STP’s famous slogan, and its red oval stickers showed up on race cars everywhere from drag strips to Indianapolis. It is real porcelain, made with glass enamel fired onto heavy gauge steel, porcelain on front and back, so the finish is hard, glossy and built to last. The red, white and blue colors look great in a garage, a race shop, a bar or a man cave, and it makes a fun gift for a racing fan, a hot rodder or anyone who loves a classic pin-up.
