This is a vintage Mobiloil Marine Pegasus porcelain sign (also known as a Mobil oil gas service station pump plate), measuring 12 inches round. It features the iconic red flying Pegasus in full gallop on a white background, “MOBILOIL” in bold black on a black/red curved banner below the horse, “MARINE” at the bottom in red, thin red border — a classic Mobiloil Marine oil advertising sign from the Socony-Vacuum / Mobil era, emphasizing marine/outboard engine lubrication.
Made of porcelain enamel on steel with patina and wear: rust spotting around the mounting holes, minor edge chips, light surface scratches, and minimal discoloration. This is a porcelain enamel advertising sign in excellent condition, exactly as shown in the photos.
