Description
A rider standing tall on the seat of his motorcycle shows real confidence in his machine. This vintage BMW porcelain sign features a bearded rider standing on a BMW motorcycle beside the blue and white BMW roundel, with “With BMW” at the left and “Drive Safely and Reliably” at the bottom, on a blue and white checkered 12″ round face.
BMW, short for Bayerische Motoren Werke, started out building aircraft engines in Munich, Germany, and built its first motorcycle, the R32, in 1923. Its flat-twin engines earned the brand a name for toughness and smooth running. This sign is real porcelain, made with glass enamel fired onto heavy gauge steel in a classic old design, for a hard, glossy finish built to last. It’s a great piece for a garage, a bike shop, a man cave or any BMW rider’s wall.
