This vintage Honda porcelain sign shows a wild green Rat Fink rider in goggles popping a wheelie on a blue motorcycle, with smoke flying off the back tire. “Meet the Big Black Bomber… Honda 450… Hotter Than Harley!” is lettered across the top in red and black, with American Honda Motor Co., Inc. on the side.
Honda’s 450 twin earned the nickname Black Bomber when it hit American showrooms in the 1960s, and Rat Fink became a hot rod and biker legend thanks to Ed “Big Daddy” Roth. It is real porcelain, made with glass enamel fired onto heavy gauge steel, so the finish is hard, glossy and built to last.
