Description
Think of a small-town filling station, the oil rack stacked by the service bay door and a bright Sunoco sign catching the afternoon light. This vintage porcelain sign brings that look home, with the big, bold Sunoco lettering of the Sun Oil Company of Philadelphia set in clean, excellent porcelain.
Sun Oil got its start in the oil business in the late 1800s and grew into one of the most recognizable names along American roads, and the Sunoco name later became closely tied to auto racing. This sign is real porcelain: layers of glass enamel fired onto metal in a kiln, which gives it a deep, glossy finish and colors made to last. The layout is simple and confident, the kind of design that reads at a glance from across a garage, shop or game room.
