This is a vintage Automobile Association Motor Union porcelain sign (also known as a vintage AA Motor Union enamel sign), measuring 12 inches round. It features the classic anti-vandalism warning: “£2 REWARD” in large black at the top, “WILL BE PAID FOR INFORMATION LEADING TO THE CONVICTION OF ANY PERSON OR PERSONS DAMAGING THESE SIGNS” in black text below, “BY ORDER THE AUTOMOBILE ASSOCIATION & MOTOR UNION” and address “WHITCOMB STREET, LONDON W.” at the bottom — a classic UK Automobile Association reward sign.
Made of porcelain enamel on steel with patina and wear: rust spotting around the mounting holes, minor edge chips, light surface scratches, and minimal discoloration. This is a porcelain enamel advertising sign in excellent condition, exactly as shown in the photos.
