Description
This vintage Esso porcelain sign features the friendly Esso tiger, his striped face grinning out from a white center circle. Bold red and blue scallops ring the edge like a pinwheel, and “Esso” is lettered in big white letters across the blue band at the bottom.
Esso’s “Put a Tiger in Your Tank” campaign of the 1960s made its cartoon tiger famous around the world, and the slogan is still remembered by drivers today. It is real porcelain, made with glass enamel fired onto heavy gauge steel, so the finish is hard, glossy and built to last. The red, white and blue colors look great on a garage wall, in a shop or a man cave, and it makes a great gift for an Esso fan, a car guy or anyone who loves classic oil company logos.
