This vintage Chris-Craft porcelain sign features the red Chris-Craft script with a runabout on the water, “Boat Kits” lettering and an Authorized Dealer banner, with excellent porcelain on both sides of a 12″ x 6″ panel.
Chris Smith began building boats in Algonac, Michigan, and Chris-Craft became one of the best-known names in American pleasure boats, famous for its varnished mahogany runabouts. The company also sold boat kits so do-it-yourselfers could build their own at home. This sign is real porcelain, made with glass enamel fired onto heavy gauge steel for a glossy finish built to last. It’s a great fit for a lake house, a boathouse, a garage or a collection of boating signs.
