Description
Picture a corner cigar stand, the wooden counter lined with boxes and a bright sign hanging over the register. This vintage cigar porcelain sign features a pinup girl in a classic tobacco advertisement, a 12″ piece for anyone who collects porcelain tobacco signs. The colors are bright and the porcelain is glossy on both sides.
Cigars were sold everywhere from tobacco shops to country stores and drugstore counters, and colorful advertising helped each brand stand out. Pinup art was a favorite of classic sign makers, and it gives this sign a playful, eye-catching look. It’s real porcelain, made with glass enamel fired onto steel for a glossy, durable finish made to last. It suits a cigar lounge, a bar, a den or a collection of tobacco advertising.
