Vintage US Forest Service Porcelain Sign – Brown Shield, 11 1/2″ x 11″

This vintage Forest Service porcelain sign is cut in the classic shield shape, with “Forest Service” across the top, a big “U” and “S” on each side of a white pine tree, and “Department of Agriculture” curving along the bottom, all in white on a rich brown field.

The U.S. Forest Service was founded in 1905 and looks after more than 150 national forests across the country. It is real porcelain, made with glass enamel fired onto heavy gauge steel, porcelain on front and back, so the finish is hard, glossy and built to last. The brown and white look fits a cabin, a lodge, a den or a man cave, and it makes a perfect gift for a forest ranger, a hiker, a camper or anyone who loves the outdoors.
