Description
A smiling attendant and the flying red horse were the welcome at a Mobilgas station. This vintage Mobilgas Special porcelain sign features the iconic Pegasus and a pinup girl gas attendant, with the Mobil name prominently displayed and “The Sign of Friendly Service” slogan in vibrant color.
Mobil’s red Pegasus became one of the most famous trademarks in the oil business, flying over service stations from coast to coast. The Mobilgas Special pump and pinup attendant give this sign a cheerful service station scene. It’s real porcelain, made with glass enamel fired onto heavy gauge steel for a glossy finish built to last. It’s a great piece for a garage, a shop or a collection of gas and oil signs.
