Description
This Rat Fink porcelain sign shows the famous bug-eyed, sharp-toothed rat in a blue “R.F.” shirt, standing on big yellow feet with flies buzzing around his head. “Rat Fink” is lettered in red across the top of a bright lime green field, and Roth’s signature sits at the bottom right.
Ed “Big Daddy” Roth drew Rat Fink in the early 1960s as a hot rod answer to Mickey Mouse, and the grumpy rat has been a garage icon ever since. It is real porcelain, made with glass enamel fired onto heavy gauge steel, so the finish is hard, glossy and built to last. The green, yellow and red colors pop in a garage, a hot rod shop, a bar or a man cave, and it makes a fun gift for a hot rod builder, a car show regular or a fan of Kustom Kulture art.
