This is a vintage Marlin Long Gun Lever Action porcelain sign (also known as a Marlin hunting general store sign), measuring 12 inches round. It features the classic Western cowboy theme: a lasso-swinging rider in red shirt and yellow chaps on a rearing brown horse, propeller-style helicopter above (humorous anachronism), “MARLIN” arched at the top in white on black, “LONG GUN” on the left and “1875” on the right in orange, “LONG LIVE THE LEVER GUN” curved at the bottom in white, stars and orange border — a classic Marlin lever action rifle advertising sign with “Long Live the Lever Gun” slogan.
Made of porcelain enamel on steel with patina and wear: rust spotting around the mounting holes, minor edge chips, light surface scratches, and minimal discoloration. This is a porcelain enamel advertising sign in excellent condition, exactly as shown in the photos.
