Description
This is a vintage Mountain Dew porcelain sign (also known as a Mountain Dew general store soda pump plate), measuring 12 inches round. It features the classic 1961 Hillbilly mascot design: the old moonshiner in green hat and checkered shirt holding a giant green Mountain Dew bottle, a young boy in green overalls jumping excitedly with another bottle, “Mountain Dew” in red cursive script, “A PRODUCT OF PEPSI CO.” and “MADE IN U.S.A. 61” markings at the bottom — a classic Mountain Dew soda advertising sign from the early PepsiCo era with hillbilly/yee-haw theme.
Made of porcelain enamel on steel with patina and wear: rust spotting around the mounting holes, minor edge chips, light surface scratches, and minimal discoloration. This is a porcelain enamel advertising sign in excellent condition, exactly as shown in the photos.
