This is a vintage Smokey Bear prevent wildfires porcelain sign (also known as a Smokey Bear gas station pump plate), measuring 12 inches round. It features the iconic Smokey Bear mascot: Smokey in his classic ranger hat labeled “SMOKEY”, holding a shovel, friendly expression, “REMEMBER” arched at the top in red on white, “ONLY YOU CAN PREVENT WILDFIRES” curved at the bottom in red, green inner circle background — a classic U.S. Forest Service Smokey Bear wildfire prevention advertising sign.
Made of porcelain enamel on steel with patina and wear: rust spotting around the mounting holes, minor edge chips, light surface scratches, and minimal discoloration. This is a porcelain enamel advertising sign in excellent condition, exactly as shown in the photos.
