Description
At the track, the Sunoco name and a set of checkered flags go together. This vintage Sunoco Racing Fuels porcelain sign features the iconic large Sunoco lettering with the checkered flags and the “Keeps Motors Knockless” slogan, with excellent porcelain on a 12″ round face.
Sun Oil Company of Philadelphia sold its Sunoco gasoline at service stations across the East and Midwest, and the brand went on to become a familiar name in racing fuel. The bold lettering and flags give this sign a fast, race-day look. It’s real porcelain, made with glass enamel fired onto metal for a glossy finish made to last. It’s a great piece for a garage, a race shop or a collection of gas and oil signs.
