This is a vintage Texaco Mechanic Service porcelain sign (also known as a Texaco gas station attendant pump plate), measuring 12 inches round. It features the classic mid-century mechanic illustration: a smiling man in green uniform and red cap pouring oil from a black can into an engine with wrench in hand, oil dripping onto the block, “TEXACO” star logo with “T” at the top, “MECHANIC SERVICE” in bold white letters, “MADE IN U.S.A.” marking — a classic Texaco approved mechanic service advertising sign.
Made of porcelain enamel on steel with patina and wear: rust spotting around the mounting holes, minor edge chips, light surface scratches, and minimal discoloration. This is a porcelain enamel advertising sign in excellent condition, exactly as shown in the photos.
