This Arizona US 66 porcelain sign is cut in the classic highway shield shape, with “Arizona” across the top, “US” in the middle and a big “66” below, in bold black on a white field with a black border.
The Arizona stretch of Route 66 runs past the Painted Desert, Winslow, Flagstaff and Seligman, and it has some of the best preserved miles of the Mother Road. The sign is real porcelain, with layers of glass enamel fired onto steel, which gives it deep color and a smooth, glassy shine.
