This vintage US 66 porcelain sign is cut in the classic highway shield shape, with “California” across the top, “US” in the middle and a big “66” below, all in black on a white field with a black border.
Route 66 ended its 2,448 mile run at the Santa Monica Pier, and the California stretch crosses the Mojave Desert through towns like Barstow, Needles and San Bernardino.
