This is a vintage Wild Child Rat Fink porcelain sign (also known as a Rat Fink advertisement mechanic shop), measuring 12 inches round. It features the iconic Ed “Big Daddy” Roth character: the yellow “Wild Child” monster in a blue wizard hat with “RF” on it, riding a massive red hot rod monster truck with blower, chains, huge tires kicking up smoke and dirt, holding an ice cream cone in one claw and a pistol in the other, motion lines and wild grin — a classic Rat Fink Wild Child hot rod advertising sign.
Made of porcelain enamel on steel with patina and wear: rust spotting around the mounting holes, minor edge chips, light surface scratches, and minimal discoloration. This is a porcelain enamel advertising sign in excellent condition, exactly as shown in the photos.
