Vintage Flying A Service Porcelain Sign – Snoopy Biplane, 12″

This vintage Flying A porcelain sign shows Snoopy in his flying helmet and scarf at the controls of an orange biplane, with little yellow birds trailing behind him through the clouds. The winged Flying A Service logo sits up top in red and white, and a deep red band runs across the bottom.

Flying A was the winged trademark of the Tide Water Associated Oil Company, and its stations were a familiar stop for drivers across much of the country. Snoopy, of course, spent years chasing the Red Baron from the top of his doghouse. It is real porcelain, made with glass enamel fired onto heavy gauge steel, so the finish is hard, glossy and built to last. Hang it in a garage, a hangar or a game room, or give it to a pilot or a Peanuts fan.
