Description
This vintage Esso porcelain sign shows the Esso tiger in New York Yankees pinstripes and cap, winding up with a bat. “Put a Tiger in Your Tank!” is lettered beside him, the Esso oval sits up top in red, white and blue, and the Yankees top-hat logo sits at his feet.
Esso’s “Put a Tiger in Your Tank” campaign made its cartoon tiger famous in the 1960s, and the Yankees need no introduction to baseball fans. It is real porcelain, made with glass enamel fired onto steel, so the finish is hard, glossy and built to last. Hang it in a garage, a man cave, a sports bar or a game room, or give it to the Yankees fan who never misses a game.
