Description
This Mohawk Gasoline porcelain sign features a Native American chief in profile with a full black and white feathered headdress, set against a white center. “Mohawk” arches across the top and “Gasoline” curves along the bottom in big white letters on a deep red ring, with “Est.” and “1940” on either side and white stars in between.
Indian chief portraits were one of the boldest looks in gas station advertising, and this red, white and black design really stands out. It is real porcelain, made with glass enamel fired onto heavy gauge steel, so the finish is hard, glossy and built to last. Hang it in a garage, a shop, a bar or a man cave, and give it to a gas station fan, a car guy or anyone who loves classic roadside signs.
