Texaco Fire Chief Porcelain Sign – Pinup on Fire Pole, 12″

This Texaco porcelain sign shows a pinup girl in a green outfit and fire helmet sliding down a fire pole, with the Texaco star on one side and a fire rescue emblem on the other. “Fire Chief Gasoline” is lettered in red, and the cheeky line “The Hotter It Is, The Quicker We Come” runs around the border.

Texaco launched Fire Chief gasoline in 1932, and the fire helmet and red trim became a familiar sight at the pump for decades. It is real porcelain, made with glass enamel fired onto heavy gauge steel, so the finish is hard, glossy and built to last. It is a fun addition to a garage, a man cave, a home bar or a firehouse break room, and a great gift for a firefighter or a Texaco fan.
