Description
Some signs belong in a workshop, over a bench lined with wrenches and a bike up on the stand. This vintage Triumph Motorcycles porcelain sign puts a Triumph motorcycle right in the center, in a garage service design with bright colors and porcelain on both sides.
Triumph began building motorcycles in Coventry, England, in the early 1900s, and the name became a favorite of riders on both sides of the Atlantic, from racers to weekend cruisers. Classic dealer and service signs were made of porcelain enamel because it stood up to sun and weather, and this one is made the same way: real glass enamel fired onto metal at high heat for a hard, glossy finish that resists fading. It makes a natural centerpiece for a garage, shop or collection of British bike memorabilia.
