Texaco Fire-Chief Gasoline Porcelain Sign – Fireman, 12″

This Texaco Fire-Chief porcelain sign shows a square-jawed fireman in profile, wearing a red helmet with the Texaco star and “Gasoline” badge on the front. “Fire-Chief” arches across the top and “Gasoline” curves along the bottom in big cream letters on a deep red ring, with a red star on each side.

Texaco launched Fire-Chief gasoline in 1932, and its red fire helmet became a familiar sight on pumps and in ads for decades. It is real porcelain, made with glass enamel fired onto heavy gauge steel, so the finish is hard, glossy and built to last. It is a natural fit for a garage, a shop, a firehouse or a man cave, and it makes a great gift for a firefighter, a retired fire chief, a Texaco fan or anyone who loves gas station history.
