Description
A lazy afternoon on the dock with a can of worms and a fish on the line is what this sign is all about. This vintage Paw Paw Bait Co. porcelain sign features a cartoon fisherman in a green hat sitting on a wooden dock with his pole, a can of worms beside him and fish jumping below, with Paw Paw Bait Co. across the top and Fishing Lures, Paw-Paw, Michigan along the bottom, on a 12″ round face.
The Paw Paw Bait Company was a Michigan lure maker named for its hometown of Paw Paw, and its painted wooden lures were sold in tackle shops across the Midwest. A fun dock scene like this makes it a favorite with anglers. This sign is real porcelain, made with glass enamel fired onto heavy gauge steel in a classic old design, for a hard, glossy finish built to last. It’s a great piece for a lake house, a fishing cabin, a tackle room or a kid’s room.
