Description
Mickey Mouse reeling in a big bass is the kind of sign that makes any angler grin. This vintage Paw Paw Bait Co. porcelain sign features the Walt Disney character Mickey Mouse catching a fish, with “Go For Lucky Lures” along the bottom, on a 12″ round face with bright colors and porcelain on both sides.
The Paw Paw Bait Company was a Michigan lure maker named for its hometown of Paw Paw, and its painted wooden lures were sold in tackle shops across the Midwest. Mickey made his big-screen debut in Steamboat Willie in 1928 and has been a favorite ever since. This sign is real porcelain, made with glass enamel fired onto metal for a glossy, durable surface made to last. It’s a fun piece for a fishing cabin, a boathouse, a tackle room or a kid’s room.
