Description
This vintage Smith-O-Lene porcelain sign shows Snoopy as the World War I Flying Ace in goggles and a red scarf, flying a green and red biplane with roundels through puffy white clouds on a light blue circle. “Smith-O-Lene” arches across the top, “Aviation” and “Brand” frame the plane, and “Gasoline” curves along the bottom in big blue letters on white.
Snoopy has been chasing the Red Baron in his doghouse since the 1960s Peanuts strips. It is real porcelain, made with glass enamel fired onto heavy gauge steel, porcelain on front and back, so the finish is hard, glossy and built to last. The blue, green and red colors look fun in a hangar, a kid’s room, a garage or a man cave, and it makes a great gift for a pilot, a Peanuts fan or anyone who loves aviation.
