Description
This Cessna porcelain advertising sign shows a single-engine plane flying over blue mountains and white clouds, with the Cessna wordmark in big yellow letters and the words “Aircraft Company, Wichita, Kansas” in the center. “The Tradition of Flight” arches across the top and “Flying Into the Future” curves along the bottom.
Clyde Cessna built his first plane in 1911, and the company he founded in Wichita went on to build more small airplanes than almost anyone. It is real porcelain, made with glass enamel fired onto heavy gauge steel, so the finish is hard, glossy and built to last. It is a natural fit for a hangar, a pilot’s office, a garage or a game room, and an easy gift for a private pilot, a student pilot or anyone who loves to watch planes take off.
