Vintage NASA Meatball Porcelain Sign – Blue, Red and White, 11 3/4″

This vintage NASA porcelain sign is the famous meatball insignia: “NASA” in big white letters across a deep blue circle dotted with white stars, a white orbit ring looping around the letters and a red chevron sweeping through like a wing. It is bold, clean and full of space-race energy.

NASA adopted the meatball logo in 1959, and it went on to fly on rockets, spacesuits and mission patches from Apollo to the Space Shuttle. Like every sign we sell, it is real porcelain: glass enamel fired onto steel for colors that stay bright and a glossy finish that cleans up with a damp cloth. It looks great in a kid’s room, a home office, a classroom or a man cave, and it makes a perfect gift for a space fan, an engineer or a future astronaut.
