Vintage Moon Eyes Speed Equipment Porcelain Sign – Felix the Cat

Felix the Cat grinning out from a speed shop sign is the kind of thing that stops people at a car show. This vintage Moon Eyes Speed Equipment porcelain sign features Felix in blue, yellow and black, on a 12″ round face with porcelain on both sides.

Dean Moon’s shop in Southern California turned out aluminum tanks, wheel discs and racing parts for hot rodders and drag racers, and its wide-eyed logo is still a favorite on garage walls. Felix, one of the first cartoon stars, adds a fun twist. This sign is real porcelain, with glass enamel fired onto steel for a glossy finish made to last. It’s a great fit for a garage, a hot rod shop or a collection of racing and cartoon signs.
