Description
This vintage Pabst Blue Ribbon porcelain sign advertises a big night of boxing: “On Television and Radio, Joe Louis vs Ezzard Charles, World’s Heavyweight Championship.” The Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer badge sits on the right with “Your Sponsor” underneath, all in red and blue on white.
Joe Louis and Ezzard Charles met for the heavyweight title at Yankee Stadium in September 1950, and Pabst was a big sponsor of televised boxing in those years. It is real porcelain, made with glass enamel fired onto heavy gauge steel, so the finish is hard, glossy and built to last. It is a perfect fit over a home bar, in a man cave, a garage or a boxing gym, and a great gift for a fight fan or anyone who keeps a cold PBR in the fridge.
