Vintage Sinclair Lubricantes Porcelain Sign – Dinosaur, 12″

This vintage Sinclair porcelain sign shows the Sinclair brontosaurus drawn in white on a black circle, with “A Product of Sinclair Refining Company” and “1920” in small white letters. “Sinclair” arches across the top and “Lubricantes” curves along the bottom in big black serif letters on a white ring.

Sinclair has used its dinosaur since the 1930s, and the Spanish “Lubricantes” wording was used for its motor oils sold in Latin America. It is real porcelain, made with glass enamel fired onto heavy gauge steel, porcelain on front and back, so the finish is hard, glossy and built to last. The black and white look fits a garage, a shop, a bar or a man cave, and it makes a great gift for a Sinclair fan, a dinosaur lover or anyone who wants a gas and oil sign that stands out.
