Description
This vintage Dodge porcelain sign puts Donald Duck behind the wheel of a little green car that has just come to a sudden stop against a STOP sign. “Dependable Dodge Service” runs around the yellow border in red and blue lettering, a playful nod to the dependability Dodge built its name on.
The Dodge brothers, John and Horace, started out making parts in Detroit and built their first car in 1914. Donald Duck first appeared on screen in 1934, and here he gives a classic car brand a cartoon twist. It is real porcelain, made with glass enamel fired onto heavy gauge steel, so the finish is hard, glossy and built to last. Hang it in a garage, a shop or a game room, or give it to the Mopar fan in the family.
