Esso Gasoline

Esso, short for the Standard Oil Company, was a major player in the oil industry during the 20th century. Their gas porcelain signs, with their distinctive design and bold colors, became a fixture at gas stations across the country. The most famous of these signs, “Put a Tiger in Your Tank,” was a marketing slogan that became synonymous with Esso. Esso also had advertising with the “Oil Drop Boy and Oil Drop Girl”.
